Silky has taken the unique design of the straight Tsurugi and tweaked it just a bit in shape and size. The result is a much more aggressive blade in popular sizes which will still fit into tight spaces without damage to opposing limbs. Thanks to Silky’s creative team, the Tsurugi delivers perhaps the lightest weight, best balanced “big saw” ever produced, having no handle screws or nuts to keep it together. The comfortable, 2-part rubber grip is held together by an ingenious integration with the full tang blade. And as if the saw alone weren’t enough, the Silky Tsurugi Curve comes in a unique aluminum scabbard that can be attached to the belt or leg depending on the users preference and has eight rollers protecting the entryway. The Tsurugi Curve range introduces a curved saw with a very narrow blade which is ideal for pruning dense trees and enables the user to get into tight areas such as the fork of a branch. Due to Silky’s renowned design skills there is no compromise to either the strength of the blade or its cutting ability. Tsurugi actually means ‘long sword’ in English.
The Tsurugi Curve Large Teeth can be identified by its red handle and is available in 3 different blade lengths (210mm, 270mm and 330mm.) The tooth configuration is a more aggressive cut at 7.5 teeth per 30mm for a smooth finish when cutting dryer and/or harder wood.
